I've been on holiday for the last couple of weeks, enjoying a staycation, so routines have been somewhat erratic! I thought I would try a few prompts as it's my last day off!! In the time it took me to write, stick and photograph I could have done it all myself!!!!
Needless to say, it didn't really work! But we're almost back on track now, I have had to re-introduce some cards that I used to use when the children (!) were younger just to try to get us back on track, and I must say they seem to be working!
There is a copy of the sheet I made and then cut out and laminated in my store on the website, use the code Free Printables at the checkout if you want to have a copy! You can easily recreate them yourself with your own details!
These are my original cards followed by my updated ones.
These cards were made when my children were old enough to read and understand the instructions! I have seen similar, more basic cards done using pictures to help younger children master basic tasks. AgainI have made a basic children's chore chart to print over on the website store - use the code Free Printables at the checkout. You can also access my current chore cards at the store with the same code, but I encourage you to create your own!
It is very easy to get off track, especially when we have unusual circumstances like we have had in 2020! But sometimes it may just be something minor that comes along and we take our eye off the ball for a week or so only to find that it looks like a Big F* Giant has come along, picked up your home and given it a good shake! (F* Friendly). It happens to all of us. Some of us can simply dust themselves off and reboot and start over, whilst some of us need little prompts and perhaps a helping hand to move along the road to being organised.
There are so many excellent resources on the internet where you can find support. I started , over 20 years ago, with an American website called Flylady and even now when I'm feeling things getting unravelled usually due to changes in routine like holidays or people coming and going at home for weeks on end(!) I watch Diane in Denmark on Youtube and Instagram for a bit of moral support and cheerleading! Mentors are there for the finding! https://www.instagram.com/dianeindenmark/?hl=en
